In a transitional
area of the exhibition space a huge spider web blocks the way. |

This web consists
of a video cable. A video camera, which lies in the center of the web and a monitor are connected to the cable somewhere in the web. |

The
color of the cable allows the web to blend into the background in order not to be seen at the first glance. The viewer aproaches the web like an insect. The video camera captures her/him, and he/she appears on the monitor, so that finally the viewer is caught in the web. |
| Der Durchgangsbereich
des Ausstellungsortes wird durch ein riesiges Spinnennetz versperrt. |
Dieses
Netz besteht aus einem Videokabel, an dessen einem Ende eine Videokamera, am anderen ein Flachbildmonitor hängt. Die Kamera ist an dem Ende das am Rand des Netzes liegt eingesteckt, der Monitor befindet sich ergo in der Mitte des Netzes. |
Die
Farbe des Kabels wird so gewählt, daß das Netz nicht auffällt, also im ersten Moment übersehen werden kann. Wie ein Insekt bewegt sich der/die BetrachterIn auf das Netz zu. Die Videokamera ist auf ihn/sie gerichtet und fängt ihn/sie ein. Der/die BetrachterIn scheint am Monitor im Netz zu hängen. |
